Vacation rentals and homes, commercial property and residential sales in La Spezia
La Spezia is situated in the most inner part of the Golfo Del Poeti, on flat plains that develop in an area limited by the sea and the surrounding hills.
Its origins may be traced back to the ancient times up to the tenth century AD, when the lands of the gulf were ruled by the Obetenghi family and by the Bishops of Luni. At that time La Spezia was a small maritime and fishing village which gathers round a group of houses, placed along the slopes of the hill called Poggio.
The Lugurian coastal region from Genoa to La Spezia (on the border with Tuscany) rivals the Amalfi Coast in its spectacular beauty. It also has several resorts which, despite attracting thousands of summer tourists, have managed to remain unspolied.
La Spezia is well known for its museums and local regional products of olive oil, wine, handmade paper / leather and fashion goods.
