Situated on a peninsula of only 10.58 km long, this part of the city is almost completely enveloped by the sea. The town's beach well worth a visit being easily accessible and only a short walk from the centre.
If you're in Cadiz in February you have to experience the incredible carnival, said to be third largest carnival celebration in the world! Celebrated before the 40 days of Lent, the carnival is centred around Shrove Tuesday. Cádiz celebrates the carnival with processions from the weekend before, to the weekend after.
If you miss out on the Carnival, aim to see the summer horse races on the beach which have declared as being a national tourist attraction.
