The Cleveland Way is 50 yards from the door, a short walk down a winding path takes you to the beach where you can walk 8 miles on golden sands. There are dramatic cliffs and rockpools to explore. A pub serving food is at the foot of the cliff. The unspoilt Victorian town Saltburn-by-the-sea is 1.5 miles away.
