The quaint village of Manorbier was birthplace of Gerald of Wales, the village's most famous son in 1146. Gerald found inspiration for his writing in Manorbier and many of his works are still in print today.
There are two major attractions here. Manorbier Castle, 12th century in origin, sits above the village and is complete to its battlements. The inner court remains intact, with vast a gatehouse, hall and chapel.
The sandy beach is the other main attraction particularly for families and water sports enthusiasts.
