The pretty village of Marloes lies just a mile from the large golden crescent of Marloes Sand, best known for its stunning cliffs of grey, gold and purple folds of rock. There are stunning views from the cliffs above the beach of the famous bird islands of Skomer, Skokholm and Grassholm which can be walked to at low tide.
The broad sands of Marloes, are a relatively safe place to swim and are big enough to remain relatively uncrowded. The beach is crowned at its western end by Gateholm Island accessible at low tide.
