Vacation rentals and homes, commercial property and residential sales in Solva
Solva is one of the most picturesque coastal villages in Pembrokeshire
As the Pembrokeshire coast turns west beyond Newgale, the coastal path to Solva, three miles west is marvellous and makes Solva ideally situated to explore Pembrokeshire. Solva’s magnificent views over the coast and easy cliff top walks make this pretty village a popular tourist attraction.
Once a thriving trading port and still an active fishing harbour, Solva, often referred to as the ‘jewel of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park’ , is situated on the beautiful West Wales coast. Today, apart from a few local fishermen, the harbour is used only by pleasure craft.
Solva stands in a deep valley gouged out by water melting from glaciers and is an ideal location for walking, sailing or browsing around the shops, galleries and restaurants set in beautiful scenery. Solva Pottery, situated in the centre of the harbour village of Lower Solva, offers Pottery in beautiful turquoise shades, all made on the premises.
Whilst here you must visit one of Pembrokeshire’s favourite restaurants, The Old Pharmacy located in a former chemist shop in the atmospheric harbour village of Lower Solva. The service here is very friendly, quality of food excellent and has been featured annually in the “Good Food Guide Recommended” guide since 1999.
