Two and a half kilometres from the market town of Orgiva, the white washed Berber villages, can be found clinging to the southern slopes of Spain’s highest mountain range. These were the last outposts of the Moors after the fall of Granada in the 16th century. There is also an apartment (which can be one, two or three double bedrooms) and a two double bedroom villa, so the site can sleep up to 10 people.

ABOUT THE PROPERTY:

The villa has two double bedrooms: one with double bed, the other with twin beds. Both with ceiling fans, air-conditioning, central heating, large fitted wardrobes and luxury bed linen. Fabulous views from every window. Each bedroom has a TV point and aerial*.

Bathroom: beautifully tiled with luxury fitted shower, heated towel rail and radiator. Spectacular views.

Kitchen: Fully fitted, modern and very well equipped, with large fridge/freezer, split level electric oven with eye level grill, gas and electric hob, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. The kitchen window overlooks the Moorish courtyard.

Living Room: Comfortably furnished. Ceiling fan, Satellite TV, video/DVD recorder, (the owners have a library of videos and DVDs available), wood burning stove and radiator.

Enjoy the dramatic views of the Contraviesa mountains from the living room and terrace.

Outside Area: There are various outside dining and relaxing areas to choose from, including a Moroccan's, arched veranda and an open aspect room. Sun loungers, BBQ's, table tennis, badminton and boules/petanque.

POOL:

The 10 metre x 5 metre private pool reflects the style of the villa and is set among the orange, lemon, olive, palm and jacaranda trees. Relaxing by the pool amongst the olive groves with the superb mountain vistas, you will occasionally hear the sound of goats bells in the distance and see horses trotting past.

PATIO:

Very large patio area for dining or just relaxing.

GARDEN:

Outside Area: There are various outside dining and relaxing areas to choose from, including a Moroccan arched veranda and an open aspect room. BBQ facilities.

CHANGEOVER NOTES:

We do not have a fixed changeover day - so bookings can be made to suit your requirements.

LINEN NOTES:

Linen is changed weekly. If you require linen to be changed more often, please request.

ACTIVITY EQUIPMENT:

Badminton, table tennis, boules/petanque.

BOOKING NOTES:

There is a non-refundable booking deposit of 20%. The balance payable 4 weeks prior to arrival. Please make cheques payable either to Zoë Cawthorn and send to: 55 High Street West, Glossop, Derbyshire SK13 8AZ, England or to Zoë Williams and send to Cortijo El Castaño, Carretera de Tijola, Orgiva, 18400, Granada, Spain. Payment may also be made by bank transfer - please ask for details. When confirming your booking we will send you details of how to find us.

Please note we operate a non-smoking policy inside the villa.
