Casa Mona is a modern villa situated between two villages just inland from Tavira and the coast. It is on a quiet hillside amongst other villas with views across the coastal plain to the sea. Its ideal for a relaxing holiday by the pool, or as a centre from which to explore the beaches, towns and countryside of the eastern Algarve.

The house has good quality fittings and furnishings and is well eqipped throughout. In the west wing, the principle bedroom has a double bed, en-suite shower room and patio doors looking out over the pool. In the east wing there are two further double bedrooms which share a bathroom. Between the two wings are the dining room, kitchen and lounge. The kitchen has a breakfast bar and is fully equipped for self-catering, including a dishwasher. The lounge is equipepd with English and German satellite TV. There is a washing machine in a room behind the kitchen.

There is a shaded terrace with dining table which overlooks the pool and has views over the surrounding coutnryside. Steps lead down from the shaded terrace to the sun terrace surrounding the pool. there is parking for two cars atthe rear of the house. There is a roof terrace which can be accessed from the rear of the house.

On which day(s) can we arrive/leave ?

In season, change-over days are Wednesdays.

For how long can we stay ?

The minimum stay is seven nights, with high season bookings restricted to whole weeks. Out of season, you can stay any number of nights more than seven.

How close are the nearest food shops ?

There are well stocked mini markets in both of the local villages, just 10 and fifteen mintues walk away, or a quick trip in the car. Much more choice is available in Tavira, a ten minute drive away.

How close is the nearest restaurant ?

There is a restaurant in the nearby village which serves standard Portuguese faire mostly cooked on the barbeque. A wide choice of restaurants is available in Tavira and St.Luzia, both ten minutes drive away.

How close is the nearest beach ?

The nearest beaches are at Tavira, Terra Estreita (St Luzia) and Barril.

What is there to do ?

Enjoy the pool around which the house is built. Casa Mona is centrally situated in the eastern Algarve, so all its attractions are within a short drive.

Do we need to hire a car ?

We recommend that you do, though you could make it with taxi and on foot.

How far is the airport ?

Faro airport is only about 35 minutes drive away (see links for flights to Faro).

Can we smoke in the house ?

No. Ashtrays are provided for smoking outside.
