Sleeps 8. Very quiet, with OUTSTANDING VIEWS, "La Grange" was immaculately restored.
It is surrounded by a GARDEN (large terrace, dining area under a pergola). A path (33 yards) leads to the SWIMMING POOL and the GARDENS (shady areas, childrens' swing) shared with the owners and 2 guests of a cottage (P605).

SUPERB WALKS AND DRIVES in the mountains and the plain. Within an hour Mont Aigoual (1565 m), the Mediterranean, Pont du Gard, Nîmes, Uzès ... But you may prefer relaxing by the pool or on your terraces whilst savouring a delicious wine of the region.

ABOUT THE PROPERTY:

The property "La Grange" is between the Mediterranean sea and the Mont Aigoual (1565 m), in the south Cévennes, a country with breathtaking landscapes, ideal for family walks and hiking, cultural and sports activities.

Around the house a private GARDEN overlooking the SWIMMING POOL (36x16 ft, paved terraces and lawns around) and the GARDENS (2,5 acres, shady areas, childrens' swing). Gardens and swimming pool are shared with the owners and two guests of our cottage "Le Pavillonnet" (P605).

You enter the house via a large flower-decked terrace with outdoor lounge and dining area under a pergola (barbecue):
- GROUND FLOOR,
living room (cast-iron fireplace, TV, DVD Player) - fully fitted new kitchen (dishwasher) - bedroom (double bed) with ensuite shower room (washbasin and tiled walls) - storage cupboard (vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board) - WC with washbasin;
- FIRST FLOOR,
blue bedroom (twin beds) - red bedroom (twin beds, one single bed) - bathroom (bath with shower, washing machine, tiled walls) - WC.
- All rooms have tiled floors, electric heating and ventilation. The twin beds can be locked together to make a king size bed (beds made up on arrival).

EXCEPT JULY AND AUGUST, we can close one of the three bedrooms and RENT FOR 4 OR 5 PERSONS (€ 300 to € 540 per week, see "La grange sur mesure" P643). But we can also close two rooms and RENT FOR 2 PERSONS (€ 250 to € 450 per week).

REDUCTION of 10% for rentals of at least two weeks.

POOL:

In the gardens, the large swimming pool (36x16ft) can be covered, it is surrounded with paved terraces and lawns. Plenty of space for sunbathing (sun loungers, sunbeds, parasols ...).

GARDEN:

You enter the house via a flight of five steps leading to a large flower-decked terrace with an outdoor lounge, dining area under a pergola and gas barbecue. All around a private garden (1acre) with mediterranean vegetation (rosemary, lavenders, laurels, ... ). Splendid views over the Liron hills and a neighbouring castle.

A path (33yards) leads to the gardens, a haven of tranquillity in a verdant setting: lawns, paved terraces, childrens' swing, swimming pool (36x16 ft). Plenty of space (with sun loungers, sunbeds, parasols ...) for sunbathing or relaxing in the shade of the trees.

PARKING:

You can park your cars safely next the house.

KITCHEN:

Modern fitted kitchen with 4-ring ceramic hob, multifunction oven, dishwasher, double sink, refrigerator, pressure cooker, coffee maker, toaster ...
All is brand-new, everything is handy.

UTILITY AREA:

Storage cupboard with iron and ironing board, vacuum cleaner ... The dishwasher is in the kitchen, the washing machine in the bathroom.

DINING AREA:

Large folding table in the living room by the kitchen, an other under the pergola. You can eat just as easily indoors or outdoors (very fine view of the Liron hills, the garden, lavender, butterflies ...).

LIVING/LOUNGE AREA:

The lovely living (dining area, cast-iron fireplace, deep seats, TV, DVD player) looks onto the terrace (French Window) and the garden (two windows). The floors are fully tiled and there is electric heating and ventilation.

BEDROOMS:

The three large bedrooms are supplied with material for reading, writing or playing cards.

- GROUND FLOOR BEDROOM: double bed, bedside lamps, antique writing table, chair and armchair, bookshelves, wardrobes, ensuite shower room;
- Ist floor, RED BEDROOM: twin beds, one single bed, bedside tables, armchair, bookshelves, wardrobes ...
- Ist floor, BLUE BEDROOM: twin beds, one optional single bed, bedside tables, armchair, large table, four chairs, bookshelves, wardrobes ...

All rooms have tiled floors, electric heating and ventilation.
Each bed has a large duvet and two pillows. The twin beds can be locked together to make a king size bed. Fitted sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases are provided. Beds made up on arrival.

CLEANING INFORMATION:

The property is cleaned ready for your arrival and is expected to be left in the same condition. If you would like an interim cleaning lady, this can be arranged for an additional cost of 36 euros for 3 hours. Please advise us of this requirement when booking.

CHANGEOVER NOTES:

Changeover day is normally Saturday, arrival after 6pm, departure before midday. Other changeover days or arrival time, are exceptionally conceivable.

LINEN NOTES:

Bedding linen is provided (beds made up for your arrival). We would ask you to bring your own towels and household linen.

PET NOTES:

Sorry no pets allowed.

BABY FACILITY:

We can provide a cot. Please reserve it when booking.

ACTIVITY EQUIPMENT:

Swimming pool, TV, DVD players, children's swing.

LOCAL AMENITIES/ATTRACTIONS:

The property is within an hour of Mont Aigoual (1565 m) and the Mediterranean, so there's a whole range of leisure activities available in the mountains and the plain.

MOUNTAINS: hiking (all levels of difficulty), horseback-riding, mountain biking (less than 2 miles away several Grande Randonnée trails), river bathing, fishing, canoeing and kayaking, hang gliding ... «Must sees» include cave Des Demoiselles, the bamboo forest in Anduze, the «sea of rocks» at Sauve, the spectacular Cirque de Navacelles canyon and the Mont Aigoual forests.

PLAIN: seaside resorts (Palavas, La Grande-Motte, ... ) or natural beaches and the Camargue (salt-water lakes where shellfish are farmed, and salt marshes).
But there´s much more than just the Mediterranean:
- visit the splendid Roman remains (Nîmes, Pont du Gard, Arles ...),
- medieval villages (Sauve, Vézenobres, Saint Martin de Londres, ...),
- large towns (Montpellier, Nîmes, Uzès ...) with their mansions, squares and gardens, ferias (bullracing festivals)
- delightful small towns (Sommières, Aigues Mortes ...),
- and vineyards everywhere. Wine from this region is excellent.

IN LASALLE (1 mile), ecotourism resort: there are bakers, a butcher, mini-market, pharmacy, doctors, nurses, physiotherapist, taxis, ambulances, and on the activity front, a river, tennis club, riding school and internet access (Centre de ressources). There's plenty going on (weekly market on Monday, hiking with guide, village tours) and Toro-Piscine (bull games) every Thursday..

But you might prefer to just enjoy the peace and quiet, relaxing by the pool or on your terraces, or lazing around in the shade of the lime trees.

BOOKING NOTES:

We require 25% of the total rent at the time of booking; 25% 2 months before arrival; the remaining 50% on arrival plus a security deposit of 300 euros (refundable if no damage etc).

BATHROOM/ENSUITE:

The house has two bathrooms:
- on the ground floor, ensuite shower room with washbasin;
- on the first floor, bathroom (bath with shower, washbasin unit and washing machine).

All have tiled floors and tiled walls, electric heating and ventilation.
