The cottage is over 400 years old, and has the benefit of private parking

The sitting room has been fully restored, with no less than three complete fireplaces having been removed to reveal the original stone fireplace and bread oven. A huge log burner is now sited in the fireplace. The walls have been cut back to reveal the original stonework and smugglers hiding places. Two brand new luxury sofas finished in calligraphy print are in situ, providing comfort from the top end of the range available.

Reputedly one of the oldest cottages in Polperro

This 16th century Grade II listed building is adjacebnt to the harbour views. To the side of Chaipel Steps you will find slate steps which lead up to Chaipel Cliff, where once stood the 14th century Chapel of St Peter. With this cottage being adjacent to the harbour you will be able to witness the historic fishing village of Polperro. Here the local fishermen worked hard at the pilchard trade during the last century, and some even worked hard at smuggling.
